The Big Brother Naija "Show Ya Sef" house has entered its final stretch, and Week 8 ended with a major shake-up as Yusuf, Bells and two-time Head of House Chimsom Chuka were evicted from the reality show.
The three housemates were sent packing during the live eviction show on Sunday, September 20, bringing the number of housemates still competing for the remaining finale spots to 10. Barry, however, is already guaranteed a place in the finale after winning the Week 8 Head of House challenge and becoming the first finalist of the season.
A Triple Eviction Shakes the House
Yusuf was the first housemate to hear his name called by host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
The 25-year-old actor, filmmaker and author from Kogi State spent 56 days in the "Show Ya Sef" house, where his relationship with Bells became one of the season's notable storylines. His journey also included several heated moments and his struggles during the Arena Games.
Speaking after his eviction, Yusuf admitted that it "stinks" to leave the competition at this stage. When asked about his relationship with Bells, he acknowledged his feelings for her while leaving the possibility of what happens outside the house open. He also revealed that his immediate post-show plans involve returning to acting.
Bells followed Yusuf out of the competition, bringing an end to her own 56-day stay in the house.
Chimsom's Exit Comes as a Shock
The biggest surprise of the night came with the eviction of Chimsom Chuka.
The 27-year-old pharmacist, actor and comedian from Anambra State had established himself as one of the season's competitive housemates and made history as a two-time Head of House, winning the title in Week 1 and again in Week 4.
His exit appeared to catch several housemates off guard, particularly Bluethopia and Sheba. Bluethopia was visibly emotional after saying goodbye to Chimsom, while Sheba comforted her after the eviction.
Chimsom's departure also brought an end to one of the season's more talked-about dynamics. During his conversation with Ebuka, he described Bluethopia as a "beautiful girl" but said that if anything romantic happened between them outside the house, he would prefer to keep it private. He also said his priorities after the show would include his family and returning to acting.
Keivo Takes the MIPOW Title
Before the eviction announcements, Keivo was named the Week 8 Most Influential Player of the Week.
The recognition came after a week in which Keivo was also involved in the Head of House challenge, ultimately finishing as the runner-up to Barry.
As MIPOW, Keivo received an AirPods reward from BetPawa.
Barry Enters the Finale
While three housemates were preparing to leave, Barry had already secured one of the biggest advantages of the week.
His Week 8 Head of House victory came with Ultimate Veto Power and a guaranteed place in the finale. After defeating Keivo in the final round of the challenge, Barry used his veto power to rescue Aikou from the eviction list.
The house also successfully won its weekly wager, giving the remaining housemates a rare positive moment in an otherwise tense week.
With Yusuf, Bells and Chimsom now out of the game, the competition has entered a much more serious phase. Barry already has his finale ticket, while the remaining 9 housemates must now fight for the spots left between them and the ₦160 million grand prize.
