The BBNaija Season 11 "Show Ya Sef" house has lost another housemate, with Gerard becoming the eighth contestant to leave the reality show.
Gerard's eviction came during Sunday night's Live Eviction Show, where Ebuka Obi-Uchendu also put several housemates on the spot over some of the biggest conversations and tensions from the week.
Gerard Takes His Final Bow
Gerard joined Ebuka on stage following his eviction and reflected on his time in the competition.
The housemate admitted that he had an idea his eviction could happen. Speaking about his approach to the game, Gerard explained that he does not believe every battle involving another person automatically becomes his own. Instead, he prefers to choose the conflicts he gets involved in.
After leaving the house, Gerard expressed gratitude for the platform and said he plans to continue pursuing opportunities in acting, broadcasting and content creation.
Barry Wins MIPOW, But Biggie Switches Things Up
Barry emerged as the Most Influential Player of the Week, but his victory came with a change to the rules.
For the first time this season, the MIPOW title did not come with immunity from eviction.
Barry still received BB Bucks and got the opportunity to participate in the BetPawa Elite Reward spin, where he won an air fryer.
The win follows a week in which Barry was particularly active around the house, including his efforts during the wager preparations.
Abi Questions Her Wager Win
Despite the house securing a wager victory, Head of House Abi admitted that she was disappointed with aspects of the result.
Speaking to Ebuka, Abi explained that she had styled some of the housemates but felt the recognition went to Nomy and others instead.
She nevertheless acknowledged that the house's victory was still a victory for her.
Sheba and Tram's Tension Continues
The tension between Sheba and Tram also came under the spotlight during the Live Show.
Sheba accused Tram of being afraid to confront her directly, claiming that he preferred to talk behind her back instead.
Tram, in response, spoke about loyalty and how several incidents had changed his perception of their relationship.
Their exchange showed that the disagreement between the two housemates is far from settled.
Aikou Admits the House Is Becoming Less Intriguing
Aikou also gave an honest assessment of his experience when Ebuka asked about his journey.
He explained that the mystery surrounding the other housemates was beginning to disappear. Having seen different sides of them, he said there was less left to discover and fewer things that intrigued him about them.
For a housemate who has spent much of the season navigating the game from a different position, the admission offered an interesting glimpse into his current mindset.
Bells and Yusuf Reveal Their Children
Away from the eviction stage, the week also brought more personal revelations.
Bells opened up about having a six-year-old son, while Yusuf subsequently revealed that he has a daughter.
The revelations gave viewers another glimpse into the lives of the housemates beyond the competition.
Meanwhile, Bells' relationship with some of her fellow housemates became increasingly strained. She accused Oyin of bullying her and alleged that Oyin and Flora deliberately provoked her. Flora, however, told Biggie that although she loves Bells, she would choose to evict her because she believes Bells often sets her friends up to fight.
Oyin also acknowledged that she had pulled away after feeling that she had lost a friend.
With Gerard now out of the competition and Biggie continuing to change the rules of the game, the remaining housemates have even more to contend with as Week 7 begins.
