What Is “The Four” About?

The Four: No One Fights Alone follows four women from the Odu community who come together when someone they love faces a serious threat.

Their journey turns into a high-stakes rescue mission as they fight to protect the future of a young man. Along the way, the women are forced to confront challenges that test their courage, faith, sacrifice and loyalty.

The film explores themes of friendship, motherhood, resilience and the strength that can emerge when women stand together.

Set between the Odu community and the vibrant city, The Four also promises to blend traditional and modern Nigerian elements through its use of music, fashion, language and culture.

According to the filmmakers, the movie aims to celebrate Nigeria's cultural identity while telling a story centred on hope, sacrifice and the enduring power of unity.

Funke Akindele's Latest Cinema Project

Produced by Funke Akindele Network (FAAN TV) and distributed by FilmOne Entertainment, The Four adds another major project to Akindele's growing filmography as one of Nigeria's most commercially successful filmmakers.

Speaking about the movie, Akindele said she wanted to explore the relationships that shape people and remain with them through different stages of life.

"Audiences have grown with us over the years, and they expect stories that entertain while reflecting who we are," she said.

With its impressive cast, emotional storyline and strong focus on Nigerian culture, The Four: No One Fights Alone is shaping up as one of the movies to watch when it arrives in cinemas on December 11, 2026.

And if Akindele's latest tease is anything to go by, audiences may only be getting a glimpse of what is coming.
